Motorcyclist dies after crash at Scholls Ferry Road, Highway 219 intersection

A 32-year-old man from Albany died Monday afternoon in a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV in rural Washington County.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road around 4:45 p.m. on June 15. Investigators reported that Brandon Henderson was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a Mercedes SUV turning onto Highway 219.
Witnesses performed lifesaving measures prior to the arrival of emergency crews, but Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities stated the driver of the Mercedes is cooperating with the investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation.
