On Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:09 p.m., a motorcycle and vehicle collided at Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 28th Avenue.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle rider was transported to an area hospital, where they later died. The vehicle driver remained at the scene after the incident.
The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team is investigating the accident. Southeast Powell Boulevard will be closed between Southeast 26th Avenue and Southeast 29th Avenue during the investigation.
