Motorcycle Crash in Cheyenne Claims Life of 24-Year-Old Rider
Cheyenne, Wyo. — A motorcycle crash near King Soopers on Dell Range Boulevard at approximately 11:45 a.m. on December 22 resulted in the death of a 24-year-old male rider from Cheyenne.
Authorities said the rider sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Laramie County Coroner’s Office is set to identify the victim and notify next of kin.
Preliminary reports indicate the collision occurred when the driver of a van made a left turn into the King Soopers parking lot, crossing into the motorcycle’s path. The motorcyclist attempted to brake but lost control, leading to the crash.
The Cheyenne Police Department’s Major Crash Unit responded to the scene and is actively investigating the incident, with speed being considered as a potential contributing factor. No other injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
