DAWSON COUNTY, GA — A motorcycle rider died following a crash with an SUV on Georgia 9 Sunday afternoon, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. near Bannister Road. Authorities confirmed that an SUV driven by 18-year-old Martin Gomez Gonzalez of Gainesville collided with the rear of a motorcycle operated by 50-year-old Alfed Harris Moss of Grayson.
The impact of the crash ejected Moss from his motorcycle, which became lodged in the SUV’s front bumper and was subsequently pushed into a minivan ahead of it.
Both Gonzalez and a passenger in the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
