Motorcyclist killed in Dorset crash.

DORSET — A motorcycle crash on Morse Hill Road claimed the life of a 28-year-old man on Sunday evening.

Vermont State Police (VSP) responded to the incident at the intersection of Kelleher Road around 7 p.m. The Dorset Fire Department and Northshire Rescue Squad also provided assistance. The roadway was closed to traffic from shortly after 7 p.m. until approximately 10:30 p.m.

First responders found a 2015 Victory Cross Country Tour motorcycle off the edge of the roadway. The operator, identified as Geoffrey E. Fuller of Danby, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet during the crash.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Fuller was traveling east on Morse Hill Road when he failed to navigate a curve, resulting in the motorcycle leaving the roadway and striking a tree, VSP reported.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Vermont State Police at the Shaftsbury Barracks at 802-442-5421.
