Motorcyclist killed in Joliet car crash near Northeast Frontage Road and Pandola Avenue, police report.

JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) — A motorcycle crash late Friday night resulted in one fatality and two injuries in Joliet, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 11:11 p.m. at the intersection of Northeast Frontage Road and Pandola Avenue. A 20-year-old man riding a Suzuki motorcycle northbound struck the passenger side of a Ford Edge that was turning east onto Pandola Avenue.

Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle on impact. He was transported to Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department, where he was pronounced dead.

Two female passengers in the Ford Edge were also taken to the same hospital, one suffering life-threatening injuries. The vehicle’s 69-year-old driver and a male passenger were not injured.

Authorities reported that the roadway was closed for several hours as investigators reconstructed the crash scene. The Joliet Police Department Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.
