MESA, AZ — A motorcyclist died following a crash at Signal Butte Road and State Route 24 on Saturday evening.
Police responded to the scene around 6 p.m. The rider was pronounced dead on site, according to the Mesa Police Department.
Southbound Signal Butte Road was closed for several hours due to the investigation but has since reopened.
This incident marks the second serious accident at this intersection within a week. Authorities reported a previous collision involving a red-light runner that resulted in one fatality and seven injuries.
