A motorcyclist died in a crash on the northbound transition from State Route 85 to State Route 17 in Los Gatos on Saturday afternoon.
According to the CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL, the incident occurred at approximately 3:05 p.m. when a motorcycle lost control while navigating the cloverleaf transition. The rider, whose identity has not yet been released, suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
Authorities reported that no other vehicles were involved in the collision. Emergency medical response was activated, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead upon arrival of medical personnel.
The roadway was temporarily closed as investigators assessed the scene. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP. Further details will be released as they become available.
