Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Building in Fox Lake Identified
A motorcycle crash into a building early Sunday in Fox Lake has resulted in the death of a 34-year-old man.
According to authorities, Fox Lake police and fire crews responded to the incident at East Grand Avenue and Keystone Avenue before 3 a.m. Upon arrival, first responders found a motorcycle that had struck a building. The victim, identified as Kyle Varno of Union Grove, Wisconsin, was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office reported that Varno’s death was consistent with blunt force head injuries resulting from the crash. No additional injuries were reported.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, led by the Fox Lake Police Department and the Major Crash Assistance Team of Lake County.
