LAS VEGAS — A motorcycle crash involving an SUV occurred early Tuesday morning on State Route 160, 15 miles south of Pahrump.
Nevada Highway Patrol reported the collision took place at approximately 12:01 a.m. at mile marker 28 in the westbound lanes.
According to troopers, the motorcycle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane when the crash occurred.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene, while the SUV driver sustained minor injuries but declined transport to a hospital, authorities said.
Troopers closed the road for a thorough investigation, with lane closures expected to last seven to eight hours.
All lanes were reopened by the Regional Transportation Commission at approximately 6:27 a.m.
