FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A motorcycle crash in Groveton on Thursday left an adult male severely injured and required hospitalization.
The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) reported the incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Memorial Street.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene following the crash.
FCPD’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Richmond Highway is closed at Memorial Street due to the ongoing investigation, and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
Authorities confirmed the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
