PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md (7News) — Three people died in a crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles on New Hampshire Avenue late Tuesday night.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD), the incident occurred around 11:25 p.m. at the intersection with Metzerott Road.
The motorcyclist, identified as Elvin Martinez Hernandez, 22, of Hyattsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Reddick Speight, 61, and Terri Stringfellow, 62, both of Adelphi, were also confirmed dead at the scene.
Two individuals in a third vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive, authorities said.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the motorcycle and one vehicle were heading north on New Hampshire Avenue when a third vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Metzerott Road, resulting in the collision.
Roadways were closed for several hours and reopened shortly before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
