Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash Near Devils Lake.

DEVILS LAKE – A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash three miles south of Devils Lake on Friday, July 19, around noon.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 54-year-old man from Webster was riding a Honda motorcycle southbound on ND Highway 20 when it collided with a Chrysler Town & Country van. The van, driven by a 47-year-old Pembina man, was turning northbound onto the roadway from eastbound Military Road.

The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to CHI Saint Alexius Hospital in Devils Lake. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The Chrysler van’s front airbags deployed, and both the driver and a 40-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries that were treated at the scene. None of the van’s four juvenile passengers were injured.

Authorities stated that the investigation is ongoing, including the possibility of charges for both drivers.
