FARGO (KFGO) – One person was killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash in Fargo on Thursday night.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 25th Street South and 13th Avenue South. A motorcycle traveling eastbound on 13th Avenue entered the intersection while facing a red light and collided with a car going southbound on 25th Street with a green light.
The motorcycle’s driver, identified as 47-year-old Jason Short from Fargo, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, 19-year-old Lanayah Warren from Arapahoe, WY, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Hospital. Neither were wearing helmets.
Authorities report that the car’s driver, 21-year-old Kellcie Brown of Fargo, and her passenger, 21-year-old Kellie Sharratt of West Fargo, were taken to Essentia Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders were on the scene to assist, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing. Lane closures were implemented in the area during the response and cleanup.
