Northwest Arkansas volunteer firefighter critically injured in motorcycle crash.

MAYSVILLE, Arkansas — A volunteer firefighter was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Nov. 11, according to the Maysville Volunteer Fire Department.

The incident involved one motorcycle and occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. on a local roadway. Emergency responders from the Maysville Volunteer Fire Department and local law enforcement were dispatched to the scene to provide aid.

Authorities confirmed the injured firefighter, identified as Colby, is currently hospitalized. He is a student at EMT school in Pryor with plans to attend fire academy in 2026. The Maysville Volunteer Fire Department expressed support for Colby and his family during this challenging time.

MVFD Chief Derrick Kennedy stated, “We stand strong with one another as we face these trials.” The department is organizing fundraising efforts, including accepting donations at the firehouse on Thursday evenings and during its annual chili supper.
