Omaha Motorcyclist Killed in Suspected DUI Crash, According to Police.

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a suspected drunk driver early Thursday in west Omaha.

The incident occurred near 144th and Corby streets at approximately 12:27 a.m., involving a Chevrolet Traverse and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, according to Omaha Police.

Police reported that the SUV was traveling southbound on 144th Street when it attempted to turn left onto Corby Street, subsequently colliding with the northbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike upon impact and suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the SUV, identified as 31-year-old Bailey Burr, was taken into custody on charges of motor vehicle homicide, DUI, failure to yield, and open container.

Authorities stated that the crash is under investigation, and further details are pending.
