One Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Illinois Route 4 in Madison County
Madison County, IL. – A motorcycle crash involving a semi-truck left one person dead on Tuesday morning, June 9, according to the Illinois State Police.
The collision occurred at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Illinois Route 4, just south of the I-70 interchange near Marine. Authorities confirmed the motorcycle and semi-truck collided for reasons yet to be determined.
Both lanes of traffic were temporarily closed following the accident as emergency responders arrived on the scene. The incident is under investigation by law enforcement.
