SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in a collision on Republic Road in south Springfield on October 7, 2026.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. when an eastbound motorcycle was struck by a westbound truck that was making a south-turn. Emergency responders from the Springfield Police Department and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and has not yet been identified. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Republic Road was partially closed for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the roadway.
