Prescott Man Faces Multiple Felony Charges After DUI Hit-and-Run Crash Seriously Injures Motorcyclist.

PRESCOTT, AZ (May 29, 2026) – A Prescott man was arrested after a DUI hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle on White Spar Road around 12:30 PM on May 28.

Jeffrey Jones, 63, was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 southbound when he collided with a 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by a 25-year-old Prescott resident. Witnesses reported that Jones was driving aggressively, using opposing traffic lanes before striking the rear of the motorcycle, causing it to fall and drag the rider approximately 220 feet.

After the crash, Jones fled the scene, eventually stopping on Peterson Drive near Cathedral Pines and Escalante Drive due to mechanical issues. When contacted by officers, he attempted to hide alcohol containers and refused to participate in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

Authorities arrested Jones on multiple felony charges, including Aggravated Assault, Aggravated DUI, Felony Hit and Run, and Endangerment. He later provided breath samples that were significantly over the legal limit and was booked into the Yavapai County Jail.
