Six Killed in Bangor, Maine, Plane Crash on January 25

BANGOR, ME — Six individuals died when a private business jet crashed shortly after taking off from Bangor International Airport on January 25.

The Bombardier CL 600, registered to a Houston law firm, was en route to Paris-Vatry Airport in France but had stopped in Bangor for fuel and de-icing. The aircraft was carrying four passengers and two crew members, all of whom perished in the incident, Bangor police confirmed.

The victims include Tara Arnold, 46; Jacob Hosmer, 47; Jorden Reidel, 33; Shelby Kuyawa, 34; Shawna Collins, 53; and Nick Mastracusa, 43. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has identified all six victims.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash. Authorities confirmed that witnesses who may have information relevant to the investigation should contact the NTSB at witness@ntsb.gov.

A preliminary report from the NTSB, including initial investigation findings, is expected within 30 days. A final report detailing the probable cause may take up to a year or longer.

No further details regarding the cause of the crash or the status of the aircraft have been released.
