A 28-year-old man from Providence, Rhode Island, was killed in a collision on I-95 southbound in Madison on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. just south of Exit 60 in the left lane. A 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Limited was struck from behind by a 2024 BMW operated by Joseph Baez, who was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.
The BMW sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Baez was transported by Madison EMS to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Subaru was unharmed.
