Serious I-95 Crash in Attleboro Leaves Three Hospitalized.

ATTLEBORO (WBSM) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Attleboro this morning sent three individuals to the hospital.

Emergency Crews Respond to Accident

According to Chief Scott T. Lachance of the Attleboro Fire Department, responders were dispatched to I-95 North near Mile Marker 4 at approximately 5:35 a.m. for a report of a crash with people trapped.

Rescue Operations Underway

Emergency crews found three vehicles involved in the accident. One vehicle was in the median, while the other two were situated on the highway shoulder. Firefighters utilized hydraulic tools to extricate a woman in her 30s, who was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Additional Casualties Reported

According to officials, a second vehicle was located off the roadway in a snowbank. Firefighters removed debris to rescue the driver, a man in his 20s, who also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

A woman in her 50s managed to exit her vehicle independently and was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, also with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation Underway

“We received multiple reports of this crash from different points along the highway,” District Chief Michael Maitland stated. “We deployed additional crews alongside Massachusetts State Police to ensure no further incidents occurred on I-95.” The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
