Six Fatalities Reported in Arkansas Traffic Incidents Over Recent Days
Arkansas roadways have seen six fatalities and one injury from a series of traffic collisions between September 10 and Monday, authorities confirmed.
On September 10 at 11:10 p.m., Kathrin Ketron, 34, of Little Rock, was fatally struck by an unknown vehicle while walking along the Interstate 30 frontage road in southwest Little Rock. The vehicle left the scene, according to the Little Rock Police.
On September 15 at 5:23 p.m., Stephen Fenner, 49, of Bella Vista, died in a motorcycle accident on Southeast Eighth Street near Interstate 49 in Bentonville. Fenner lost control of his Kawasaki ZX-636, crashing into a curb and a light pole, as reported by Bentonville Police.
Earlier that same day at 6:45 a.m., Gregory Groves, 53, of Blytheville, was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Arkansas 18 in Craighead County. Groves was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse when he was struck by a 2016 Kenworth driven by Derick Smithson, 43, of Trumann, who sustained injuries in the incident, according to the Arkansas State Police.
On September 16 at 5:42 p.m., Jeremy English, 41, of Bentonville, died in a single-vehicle crash on Pumpkin Hollow Road in Benton County. Authorities reported that English lost control of his 2013 Honda Accord, which collided head-on with a concrete support for the Interstate 49 overpass.
On September 17 at 2:25 a.m., Javier Caldwell, 22, of North Little Rock, was killed when his 2004 Chevrolet flipped over on Interstate 530 in Jefferson County. The vehicle left the roadway and overturned, resulting in Caldwell being ejected, state police confirmed.
On September 18 at 12:53 a.m., Icelena Roy, 36, of Hot Springs, was struck and killed while walking on Interstate 430 in Little Rock. According to state police, she was in the left lane when hit by a northbound 2020 Nissan.
The investigations into these incidents are ongoing.
