MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Southbound lanes of North Kings Highway, between 20th Avenue North and 16th Avenue North, reopened Saturday evening following a crash involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department (MBPD) responded around 5:15 p.m. to reports of the collision at 16th Avenue North and North Kings Highway.
One individual was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Initially, officers closed Southbound North Kings Highway from 20th Avenue North to 16th Avenue North as they conducted their investigation.
As per an update at 6:58 p.m., MBPD confirmed that the southbound lanes were back open.
Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area during the incident response and to use caution while navigating the area.
