Southeast Missouri Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash with Car West of Midway Sunday.

A motorcycle crash west of Midway on Sunday afternoon left a 46-year-old male rider injured, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Arkansas State Highway 178, near Pearl Road. The rider, from Kennett, was transported to Baxter Health in Mountain Home for treatment. The driver of the car, a 50-year-old woman from Mountain Home, and a juvenile passenger were uninjured.

Authorities reported that the accident happened when the woman slowed to make a left turn, while the motorcycle rider attempted to pass on the left in a no-passing zone, mistakenly believing she would turn right. The vehicles collided near the fog line, resulting in the motorcycle rider being thrown from his vehicle.

The motorcycle rider received citations for driving with a suspended license, improper passing, and for not possessing a motorcycle license.
