The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Wilmington on February 3, 2026.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., troopers responded to South Maryland Avenue near Reamer Avenue. A Toyota Tacoma was stopped in the left lane of eastbound South Maryland Avenue waiting to turn left, while a Dodge Ram was halted at the stop sign on southbound Reamer Avenue. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on South Maryland Avenue at a high rate of speed when it collided with the Toyota, which then struck the Dodge.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 29-year-old man from Wilmington, was transported to a local hospital where he later died. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The drivers of the Toyota and Dodge, both of whom are from Wilmington and Newark respectively, reported no injuries. The roadway was closed for around 1.5 hours for investigation and clearance.
