ROSEVILLE (WJON News) — A motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries following a collision with an SUV on Interstate 35W in Roseville on Saturday around 12:45 p.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash involved a motorcycle operated by 19-year-old Jacob Laqua of Stacy and an SUV driven by 34-year-old Blake Biers of St. Paul, both traveling south on I-35W when the incident occurred.
Laqua was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Biers reportedly sustained no injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the incident. There were no immediate details on lane closures or vehicle tows. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
