GREENACRES, Fla. — A 17-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash late Monday night on Jog Road, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., Emmanuel Alzate was traveling southbound on a Kawasaki motorcycle when a northbound Volkswagen SUV turned left onto Jog Park Drive. Authorities said Alzate’s motorcycle collided with the SUV’s passenger side, resulting in him being ejected from the bike.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Alzate was pronounced dead shortly after. According to the crash report, he was wearing a helmet during the incident.
The roadway was temporarily closed for the investigation, and the involved vehicle has been towed. No additional injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing, authorities stated.
