ENOSBURG, Vt. — A 17-year-old driver faces charges following a fatal crash that killed 32-year-old Cody Paradee of Fairfax on June 13.
According to Vermont State Police, the teenager was driving a Toyota Camry on Tyler Branch Road when they failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Duffy Hill Road around 10:30 p.m. Paradee, traveling north on Tyler Hill Road, struck the teenager’s vehicle.
Paradee was airlifted to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead the following day.
The underage driver reported to the St. Albans State Police barracks on Tuesday and was cited for grossly negligent operation resulting in death. The driver is scheduled to appear in court in August.
The investigation remains ongoing.
