BOONE COUNTY, Mo. — A 68-year-old woman from Tennessee was injured in a motorcycle accident Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at 8:45 a.m. on southbound Route UU, north of Blue Jay Way. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the woman failed to negotiate a curve, causing her motorcycle to travel onto a private drive before overturning and ejecting her.
She sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the accident. No other vehicles were involved, and there were no reported fatalities.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene; however, there were no lane closures reported on Route UU.
