CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — A motorcycle crash on Budds Creek Road killed a male rider Saturday night, prompting lane closures while police investigate.
Emergency responders were dispatched at 9:56 p.m. on August 8 to Budds Creek Road’s intersection with Penns Hill Road. Authorities reported that the motorcycle left the roadway near Allens Fresh Road, with the rider found approximately 20 feet off the road in a wooded area.
CPR efforts initiated by bystanders continued when emergency personnel arrived. As of late Saturday night, Budds Creek Road remains closed between Edgewater Drive and the Penns Hill Road/Allens Fresh Road area due to the incident. Authorities expect the closure to last for an extended period.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area. The investigation is ongoing.
