Three hospitalized following crash on Michigan Avenue in Canton Township.

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Three individuals were hospitalized following a collision involving two vehicles and a motorcycle on Michigan Avenue.

The incident occurred around 8:01 p.m. on September 15 at Michigan Avenue and Lilley Road. According to authorities, a gray Mini Cooper Countryman, driven by a 36-year-old man from Ypsilanti, was traveling west when it crossed the median and struck a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle was being operated by a 52-year-old man from Monroe, who was heading east on Michigan Avenue.

The initial collision caused the motorcycle to collide with a maroon Nissan Maxima, also traveling east and driven by a 51-year-old man from Ypsilanti. Emergency responders transported individuals from both the cars and the motorcycle to nearby hospitals, though details on their injuries remain unconfirmed.

Officers from the Canton Police Department are conducting an investigation into the crash and do not suspect alcohol was a contributing factor. Lane closures were implemented during the response and investigation.
