ADELPHI, Md. – A multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle resulted in three fatalities late Tuesday night at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road.
Authorities said the incident occurred on July 14, 2026, at approximately 11:25 p.m., involving two vehicles and a motorcycle. The adult male motorcycle operator, an adult male driver of another vehicle, and an adult female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities will be released after family notifications.
Two individuals from one of the vehicles were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, the motorcycle and another vehicle were traveling northbound on New Hampshire Avenue when a third vehicle, attempting to make a left turn onto Metzerott Road, collided with them. Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
