Three Killed in Adelphi Motorcycle Crash Late Tuesday Night
Adelphi, MD — Three individuals were pronounced dead following a motorcycle collision at approximately 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road, according to Prince George’s County Police.
The victims include 22-year-old Elvin Martinez Hernandez of Hyattsville, who was operating the motorcycle, along with 61-year-old Reddick Speight and 62-year-old Terri Stringfellow, both residents of Adelphi. All three were declared deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Hernandez and another vehicle were traveling north on New Hampshire Avenue when a third vehicle attempted to turn left onto Metzerott Road, resulting in the collision.
The driver and passenger of the third vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
