PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. – Three people died in a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle Tuesday night at New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:25 p.m. Authorities confirmed that the collision involved a motorcycle and two other vehicles. Investigators reported that the motorcycle and one vehicle were heading northbound on New Hampshire Avenue when a third vehicle attempted a left turn onto Metzerott Road, resulting in the crash.

The motorcycle operator, 22-year-old Elvin Martinez Hernandez of Hyattsville, along with the driver of the second vehicle, 61-year-old Reddick Speight, and passenger, 62-year-old Terri Stringfellow, both from Adelphi, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two individuals from one of the vehicles were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Debris was strewn across the roadway following the collision, with witnesses reporting a loud screech preceding the crash. The area has a history of collisions; a safety report noted 175 accidents along that stretch between 2015 and 2019.
