RALEIGH, N.C. — A tow truck driver was charged after a crash involving two motorcycles and a sedan left one dead early Friday morning.
Raleigh Police responded to the incident at the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Trawick Road at 2:36 a.m. Authorities said Allan Guerrero, 39, ran a red light while turning, colliding with the vehicles.
Chandler Hodge, 35, a motorcycle rider, died at the scene. Guerrero, the second motorcycle operator, and two individuals in the sedan sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Guerrero faces multiple charges, including:
- Aggravated Felony Death by Vehicle
- Felony Serious Injury by Vehicle (3 counts)
- Driving While Impaired (DWI)
- Driving While License Revoked (Impaired Revocation)
- Fail to Stop for a Steady Red Light
- Unsafe Movement Causing a Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury
- Unsafe Movement
He was arrested at the scene, where the investigation is ongoing. During the investigation, Guerrero was also charged with drunk and disorderly conduct and resisting, delaying, or obstructing an officer.
