Actor Treat Williams Dies in Motorcycle Accident in Vermont
Actor Treat Williams, 71, died Monday evening following a motorcycle accident on Vermont Route 30, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. ET when a vehicle attempted to turn left into a parking lot, colliding with Williams, who was riding a 1986 Honda VT700c motorcycle. Williams was thrown from the bike and sustained critical injuries.
Emergency responders airlifted Williams to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Vermont State Police reported.
Williams, known for his roles in “Everwood” and “Blue Bloods,” was a veteran actor with a career spanning several decades. He is survived by his wife, Pam Van Sant, and their two children.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and no charges have been reported at this time.
