Fairview Heights
Two individuals were killed in a motorcycle crash on Union Hill Road in Fairview Heights at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. identified the victims as 30-year-old Kaleb D. Ball of Bethalto and 25-year-old Kayla Steinmetz of Columbia.
Fairview Heights Police responded to the scene, where bystanders were administering first aid. Steinmetz was pronounced dead at the scene, while Ball was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital at 8:17 p.m., according to police.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
