GILFORD — A motorcycle collision involving a car sent an adult and a child to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on July 10.
The accident occurred at approximately 4:03 p.m. at the intersection of Weirs and Lake Shore roads, near Sawyer’s Dairy Bar. Gilford Police and Fire responded to the scene, and both patients were transported to Concord Hospital-Laconia for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the minor passenger was wearing a helmet while the adult male operator was not. A white Subaru involved in the crash sustained front-end damage but was able to be driven from the scene.
At approximately 4:40 p.m., witnesses reported seeing the aftermath of the crash, with debris, including glass, on the roadway. Gilford Police moved the motorcycle to the side of the road as officials investigated the incident.
No further details regarding the extent of injuries or the causes of the accident have been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and lane closures are not expected.
