A motorcycle accident on Route W, north of Bethany, Saturday evening left two men injured.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 7:55 p.m. when a 24-year-old male from Kansas City, Kansas, was riding southbound and struck a deer in the roadway. The motorcycle then slid on its side, sustaining minor damage, which was removed before the trooper’s arrival.
The driver suffered minor injuries, while a 22-year-old male passenger from Bethany sustained moderate injuries. Both were transported to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany via private vehicle.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol at the scene. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
