GLENS FALLS, N.Y. — Two people were killed in a motorcycle crash on Bacon Street shortly after midnight on Saturday.
According to New York State Police, the crash occurred after the motorcycle operator sped away from an attempted traffic stop on State Route 9 in Queensbury. Authorities stated that police did not pursue the vehicle due to concerns regarding reckless speed.
The motorcycle crashed after striking a curb near the intersection of Bacon Street and Glen Street. The operator, identified as 38-year-old Alex Morehouse of Warrensburg, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 38-year-old Suzie Etu of South Glens Falls, died shortly after being transported to Glens Falls Hospital.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
