LUSK, Wyoming – A motorcycle crash on US Highway 85 resulted in the death of a 59-year-old man from Mason City on Friday.
According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (DOT), Thomas Brown was riding southbound when he exited the roadway and collided with a barb-wire fence. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Brown was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained in the crash.
In a separate incident the same day, Kimberly Soma, 55, of Belmond, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 14. The DOT reported that Soma was a passenger on a motorcycle that lost control, leading to the vehicle laying down on the road. She was struck by another vehicle and subsequently pronounced dead.
Both incidents are under investigation by local authorities, and further details will be released as they become available.
