ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Two people sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident at Montague Rd. and Meridian Rd. on Saturday afternoon.
The Blackhawk Fire Department responded at 12:59 p.m. to reports of a collision involving an SUV and a motorcycle. Emergency crews found the motorcycle down and transported both injured riders to a local hospital.
Seven occupants in the SUV were unharmed. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, marking the second serious accident at this intersection in a week. Authorities advise drivers to remain vigilant to enhance safety.
