Multi-Vehicle Collision in Downtown Area Injures Three
A multi-vehicle accident in downtown Springfield occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. on October 12, resulting in injuries to three individuals.
According to the Springfield Police Department, the collision involved four vehicles at the intersection of Main Street and Elm Avenue, heading eastbound. Emergency medical personnel treated three individuals on the scene, all of whom were transported to Springfield General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities reported that two lanes of Main Street were closed for approximately two hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage. Towing services were utilized to remove the vehicles involved in the crash. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation by the Springfield Police Traffic Division.
