Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 50 Injures Four

DENVER, CO — A two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 50 near mile marker 35 at approximately 4:15 p.m. on October 5, 2023, leaving four individuals injured.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, both vehicles involved, a sedan and an SUV, were traveling eastbound when the crash occurred. Emergency responders from the Denver Fire Department and medic units were dispatched to the scene, providing medical aid to the injured.

Two of the injured parties were transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The other two individuals received treatment at the scene but declined transportation.

Authorities reported that several lanes on the eastbound side of Highway 50 were closed during the investigation and cleanup, causing significant traffic delays. Crews are expected to clear the scene by 7:00 p.m.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
