The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 50 and River Boat Road.
The incident happened on April 10 at approximately 2:16 p.m. when a southbound SUV failed to yield at a stop sign while approaching U.S. 50, colliding with an eastbound pickup truck.
The driver of the SUV, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to NHP officials.
The pickup truck’s driver and a passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities reported.
No additional occupants were present in either vehicle. The crash investigation is ongoing, and officials urge the public to avoid U.S. 50 at River Boat Road during the investigation and cleanup process.
