BUENA VISTA — A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash on County Road BB at Bluff Road on Sunday morning.
Authorities identified the victim as 24-year-old Willard Nyquist of Almond, who died at the scene of the incident reported at 10:24 a.m., according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said Cynthia Baehman, driving west on County Road N, failed to yield at a stop sign, colliding with Nyquist’s motorcycle traveling south on County Road BB. Nyquist was the sole operator of the motorcycle.
Baehman, from Oshkosh, was unharmed in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, as confirmed by the Sheriff’s Office.
The Portage County Sheriff’s Office received assistance at the scene from Plover Ambulance, Almond Rescue, Almond EMR, Bancroft Rescue, Bancroft EMR, the Portage County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
