A New Franklin man was injured in a motorcycle crash on Route J in Howard County on Saturday, July 11, at 4:20 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 59-year-old was riding westbound when he veered off the left side of the roadway and overturned approximately five miles southwest of Fayette. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a Columbia hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Authorities reported that the man was not wearing the proper safety equipment at the time of the incident. No additional vehicles were involved in the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
