MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — A fatal two-vehicle collision on Alabama 67 occurred Monday morning, resulting in lane closures.
The crash happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. near mile marker 15, blocking all lanes of traffic.
According to officials, the incident claimed the life of 46-year-old Stevi Cox from Rainbow City, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cox’s vehicle reportedly collided head-on with another vehicle, though details about the second vehicle and its occupants are not confirmed.
Authorities stated that the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Traffic remains affected as tow services work to clear the area, and lane closures are expected to last until the investigation concludes.
