Victims of Saturday’s motorcycle crash identified, including one from South Lake Tahoe.

Motorcycle Crash in Carson City Leaves Two Critically Injured

Carson City, NV—A motorcycle collision involving a truck resulted in critical injuries for two individuals on Saturday night.

The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) responded to the crash at approximately 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Roop and Fairview Streets. A 2007 maroon and gold Suzuki street bike, driven by 20-year-old Andrey L. Gallegos of Sparks, was traveling southbound on Roop Street. A gray Chevy Silverado pickup, operated by 60-year-old Donald T. McKean of Gardnerville, was traveling westbound on Fairview when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Both Gallegos and his passenger, 21-year-old Audrey G. Rugamas from South Lake Tahoe, were ejected from the motorcycle and subsequently airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno in critical condition. McKean did not sustain injuries.

Authorities are seeking information from witnesses or businesses along Carson Street from 9:50 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. who may have seen the motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed. Similar requests for information pertain to any observations along Roop Street between 10:30 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.
